Rhombus was inspired by an Uzbek block print that had been hand printed on crudely woven cotton harvested and woven in the harsh conditions of Central Asia. This original textile nevertheless had some of the qualities that I saw in the antique French textiles that I loved that inspired the other prints in this Avignon collection - Wildflower and Medlar - a combination of a completely harmonious use of technique and local materials, created by someone with real manual skill and an original eye.
Rhombus is geometrical and gives the florals in this collection a contemporary edge. It is also incredibly easy to use for upholstery, fabric walling and curtains and to coordinate with our plain linens and smaller patterned weaves. Rhombus comes in four colours - Moss, Teal, Raspberry and Chestnut.Rhombus has been printed in England using the best contemporary craftsmanship, combined with a commitment to protecting our precious environment.
