Criss Cross is based on a book-sized black and orange old wool fragment from Anatolia that Susan Deliss found rummaging among kilims in Istanbul. It had been bound round 2 edges and didn't have an obvious purpose but the strangely contemporary and original pattern intrigued her.
Susan was drawn to historical Byzantine and African palettes when creating these fabrics. Susan is introducing three darker weaves, combining a more masculine feel with a rich textural quality. These darker tones stand perfectly on their own in more restrained interiors where subtle plays of colour and texture - wood, stone, plaster - are layered with other elements.
Criss Cross works beautifully for upholstery and cushions and can be used for thick curtains and blinds.
Woven in England.
